Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumA Corey and Kamala ticket. How do you think it would do?
Honestly, it's my dream ticket for many substantial reasons... but also a petty one: It would be a big F-U to trump and his sexist/racist minions.

(17,090 posts)Booker has so little traction among committed DUers? He's languishing at 1% here. I know it's early. It's very early, but you'd think he'd have more support than that.

(5,506 posts)Booker is actually my early favorite even though I have not declared. I want to get to know them all before I make a decision.
Even so, I have liked him for a long time. I think he has a great resume and backstory. But the thing I love about him is his relentless positivity. Even with that, he can also bring a passionate smackdown when it is necessary. I think that will sell in the broader electorate even if it doesn't sell here.
He is my dark horse in the race. I think he will rise once he gets on the debate stage.
The reason I question your premise is that I don't ever see those two on the same ticket. The people that play political scrabble are always looking to mix the tiles up in a way that games the board. I don't see them putting two coastal POC on a ticket together. I suspect that a Booker VP would be some kind of offset to age (older person), geography (midwesterner or southerner) or gender. While Harris meets the gender offset, she seems too similar to him in other categories. That is just my sense of the political calculus that goes into these decisions these days.
Just to be clear, I think that is the wrong strategy. I would rather see two top-end people together regardless of geography or demographics. I just don't think the "experts" think that way.
