Spurs legend Tim Duncan is supporting Mike Bloomberg for U.S. president

&feature=youtu.be

Retired Spurs legend Tim Duncan endorsed presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg in a new, 30-second ad focusing on the former New York City mayor's recovery aid in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In the video published on Bloomberg's YouTube channel Wednesday morning, the Spurs assistant coach speaks about the presidential candidate's "true compassion" in aiding his native islands after Hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the area.

"I'm Tim Duncan, born and raised in the Virgin Islands, and I'm supporting Mike Bloomberg for president because of his work in 2017 to help the U.S. Virgin Islands recover after we were hit by two Category 5 hurricanes," Duncan narrates photos and clips of the fatal weather event and the recovery effort that followed. "It was widespread destruction. Food and water were running low, the people of the islands needed help and Mike and his team, among many others, acted fast to aid in feeding, clothing and getting people to safety and in this Mike Bloomberg showed his true compassion for helping those in need."

1. So nice to see another rich person supporting a rich candidate

Because class consciousness (for the rich) is more important than anything in America and making sure you keep your $2+ million dollar is the most important thing in the world when there are tends of thousands of Americans living homeless in the streets because of the high price of rent.

3. I don't care about who supports my candidate

I care about what my candidate's positions are. Period.

Hundreds of thousands people living in the street because they can't afford rent. Rent in nearly every city at a record high. Rich billionaires make millions off of using and abusing Americans forcing them to a position where they live in tents, leading them to alcohol and drug abuse. Who has a policy that's actually going to do something about it? Who's actually really to stand up to big money. Who's willing to stand up for people?

We saw what happened in the past when those from Wall Street have been allowed to run everything. The housing system in America is unsustainable. Millions of Americans have been pushed into worse and worse housing just so people can make more money off them like they were animals, swine, or pigs.

Americans are human beings and have a right to be treated as such! If private corporations are not capable of providing affordable housing to the American Public it is absolutely imperative that the US Government do so. It's a national emergency of epidemic proportions leading to thousands of deaths, drug overdoses, mental llness and the dehumanization of vast swabs of our citizenry. There is zero excuse.

Thats a tad hypocritical. You should disavow their support for Bernie if you want to be consistent. They are wealthy, after all.

By just calling any desire to help them flowery rhetoric and moon pies and rainbows.

Are you a Democrat or a Republican? Because I'm not seeing much difference huh?

We should just tell the growing homeless population to pull themselves up by their bootstraps right?

Perhaps you're mistaking what board you're posting on.

Perhaps you're mistaken on who the enemy really is.

But don't expect anyone to defend it when you are the one who set it up.

No one cares. Instead we're talking about rainbows and flowers because no one gives a shit about a human being unless they have money.

What did Bernie do but talk about the plight of people in the islands after the two storms. Don't say he voted for aid, Warren and Klobuchar did that two, Biden and Hillary led fundraising drives.
