Sanders refuses to answer question about taking money from Bloomberg

Interesting moment from the CNN Town Hall where Bernie Sanders repeatedly dodges answering the question about whether he will take money from Bloomberg to help defeat Trump in a hypothetical general election.

CNN:Sanders refuses to say if he'd accept Bloomberg's money.

Sanders dodged the question completely on his first attempt, so Anderson Cooper called him on it and directly asks him the question to which he completely dodges it again with an unrelated answer.
So Cooper quite rightly asks him again "So you're not sure if you will take the money or not?" to which Sanders attempts to ignore him until the crowd starts to laugh at his obvious dodging of the question, so he just says he doesn't think he will need the money.
Still no direct answer of whether he will take the money or not.

Sanders seems to be trapped here. He doesn't want to admit he will take the money, since that would expose his obvious hypocrisy and grandstanding demagoguery in attacking others for taking money from billionaires, mostly because he's the only one who built a base of donors from the last Presidential primary such that he doesn't need to go to more wealthy donors to compete in this primary. He knows that will change in the general election where Trump has a huge war chest that continues to grow and we will need all the money we can get, so he's trying to keep that option open.

Sanders fans are in desperate spin mode trying to attack CNN and Cooper for exposing their candidate's hypocrisy and lack of forthrightness. CNN did exactly what they have done and should do to any candidate that dodges a question so obviously.

primary today, I would vote for:

It's possible he did and his advisors told him not to say No and just dodge the question.

can’t give more than $2,800 directly to a candidate, whether it’s Sanders or Buttigieg or anyone else, like all of us. I’m sure they’d all take that.

It’s therefore a stupid question. If Bloomberg creates a PAC or some other entity to spend millions for ads on behalf of the eventual nominee, he can—indeed must—do it without any consultation or coordination with the campaign. So again, stupid question.

I hope you realize by continuing to bash Sanders, you're actually defeating your cause. Rather than impugning Sanders, you're strengthening his support.
