Question for Bernie supporters- VP pick?
Who would Bernie make as his VP pick?
I was always hoping stacey abrams would be someone’s pick but I do not think she would accept with Bernie. Not sure a Harris would either. The only person that would be strong VP choice that agrees with him is Warren. That would be a great ticket but we lose a senate seat. I do not think as Dems we can afford to lose a senate seat for VP. Just not sure if he can put forth a good VP.

37. I think we'll find out in the next couple weeks
Her shot at the nomination is essentially dead. If she gets out by around Super Tuesday... then she probably thinks she has a shot at VP for Bernie (and would be taking a huge step toward delivering the nomination to him). If she’s still in the race after that point... then she’s actively opposing his nomination.

She was a cosponsor of Bernie's Medicare for All Bill in the Senate
Also this more recently: January 09, 2020 Harris, Lawmakers Introduce No War Against Iran Act WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris (D-CA) on Thursday joined Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and 11 of their Senate colleagues in introducing the No War Against Iran Act, which would deny the Pentagon of any funds for unauthorized use of military force against Iran. And this: WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) today became the fourth U.S. senator to cosponsor Senator Cory Booker’s (D-NJ) landmark bill to end the federal prohibition on marijuana. The Marijuana Justice Act would remove marijuana from the list of controlled substances, making it legal at the federal level. Harris announced her support of the bill in a video... ...Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) became the first Senator to cosponsor the Marijuana Justice Act last year, followed by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) in February, and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in April. This was from 2018: Wyden Bill to Require Paper Ballots, Strengthen Election Security Gains Support from Sanders, Harris, ACLU Washington, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today announced the addition of Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as cosponsors to his bill to strengthen election security and require paper ballots, as well as an endorsement of the bill by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). None of the above were simply bills that a majority of Senate Democrats sponsored. Harris and Sanders have worked fairly well together in the Senate. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

Harris is relatively young and has a long political career ahead of her -- she's not going to throw that down the drain to run with Sanders. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

31. She's not dumb. She knows that the odds that Sanders wins the general is slim.
And I doubt she wants to be the one to have to defend Sanders when all his past skeletons are brought up and paraded around by the Republicans.
Nina Turner, Tulsi Gabbard -- that is the caliber of VP a Sanders nomination will attract. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

43. The odds are slim?
I looked at the polling data and Sanders beats Trump in 63 of the past 68 polls, those are some damning numbers for Trump.
Of course who knows what would happen in the General, both have very active bases of support. Of course Sanders draws in large crowds and has great fund raising numbers, higher than any other democrat that has run this season. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

45. In those polls, he barely beats Trump and that is with Republicans openly SUPPORTING his candidacy.
Wait till they unleash the hounds and start going after him the way they did Hillary or Biden.
Never mind the fact that Sanders's entire campaign premise is relying on young people and other voters that are not predisposed to turning out to begin with. It will be a blood bath. Just look at how poorly Sanders-backed candidates fared in 2018. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
