Another post referencing that supposed mostly red map of the US.

The GOP loves to reference that red map, which gives the illusion that most of the US is conservative. Any use of that map that implies or states that most of the US is conservative is false.

The reality is that most of those red areas are vacant, or lightly populated. And yes, there is an Electoral College bias in favor of those lightly populated red areas, but 2018 showed how, even in these supposed red areas, progressives can win, and did, in fact, win.

If we try to say that we must appeal to the red areas, we will only have 2 wings of one conservative Party.

What is needed is first, to motivate younger voters.

Second, to focus right now on helping people to check their registration status.

Third, to reach out to voters and impress upon them to necessity of voting in every single election.

The GOP benefits from low turnout, which refutes any nonsense about the US being a center right country.

So forget this red map nonsense. It is designed to demoralize Democrats.

2018 showed how an energized and motivated mass of voters can quickly change that map.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

That red map is propaganda that is designed to demoralize, and give the illusion that the GOP represents the majority.

elected Kyrsten Sinema to the Senate (counties that house Phoenix and Tucson), and some experts might even reduce it to just Maricopa. Looking at the map gives a deceptive picture of what's going on in many states.

It reduces the debate to a map that basically lies.

If the GOP were truly the Party of the majority, there would be no reason for them to cheat.

In 200 & 2004, I think it was POS Hannity who first put up the red/blue state map trying to make the point that America is mostly republicon.

Now they use that county-level map because even blue states have a lot bigger rural red area. The vast red swaths make it look like America is overwhelmingly republican.

It's just another BS lie.

For Democrats to win, there needs to be an effort to campaign in rural areas by explaining how democratic policies will help farmers and workers, reverse wealth inequality, and how republicon policies are killing us all.

But the rich will spend billions to lie, and to frighten voters.

Look how support for Medicare for All quickly dropped after big business started lying to people about it.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
