this Bernie-driven #PetesBillionaires slag-off is disingenuous selective opportunism

here is a list of billionaire contributors up until Q3 2019

Pete was not even the top one, and some of these I am sure have added to this list now

Bernie is singling out Pete for one reason only

the results

Iowa and now NH polls

his poutrage is as phoney as a 3 dollar bill

this list is 3 months old, the data is over 4 months old

I didn't see him having a direct, systemic go at Booker and Harris, as they were definitely still in the race then

ONE of Pete's came from healthcare, NOT dozens like the serial liar Nina Turner has said

1. It's easy to defend billionaires. They pay well.

If (God help us) he becomes the nominee, will he take Bloomberg's dirty billionaire money that he's promised to help Democrats win if he (Bloomberg) is not the nominee? Or will he just run it through his PAC, Our Revolution, so he can keep up the pretense?

5. Are you forgetting the money he's raising through Our Revolution?

Only difference is, Bernie’s group doesn’t have to disclose who the wealthy donors are. Where’s the paper trail for Our Revolution?

6. no one is defending billionaire per se, simply calling out selective BS

Also, many of these billionaires are Democratic party stalwarts who have given collectively millions upon millions over the years to help get real Democrats elected nationwide

David Geffen
Mimi Haas of Levi's Jeans
Jennifer Pritzker

A retired Army lieutenant colonel and Hyatt heiress, Pritzker supported Trump in 2016 and contributed over $250,000 to committees associated with his campaign in the months leading up to the general election. A transgender woman, Pritzker has since spoken out against Trump’s transgender military ban.

maybe you would prefer Pritzker goes back to giving to Trump???

Bernie:'I have received no billionaire contributions.'

Contribution: 'the part played by a person or thing in bringing about a result or helping something to advance.'

Pierre Omidyar

'Pierre Morad Omidyar (Persian: پیر مراد امیدیار?, Persian pronunciation: [piːjeɾ muɾɑːd umiːdjɑːɾ] born June 21, 1967) is an American billionaire entrepreneur, computer scientist and philanthropist.'

'In 2013, prompted by the Edward Snowden leaks, Omidyar announced the creation of First Look Media, a journalism venture launched on February 10, 2014 with The Intercept and including such journalists as Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras, Jeremy Scahill, Dan Froomkin, John Temple, and Jay Rosen.'

With the advent of Citizens United, big money has an out-sized role in our elections. In order to even keep up with the repubs, we have to be playing the same game.

While I agree that this is not how politics should work, the only way to change it is to get control of the senate and the White House, and then try to fix the Supreme Court. Until then, we’re just going to continue to lose if we bring a knife to a gun fight.

primary today, I would vote for:
