If Joe Biden comes in first or second at caucus.. here is the reason!

families.

Yesterday at the rally, the one thing that I noticed right away, was that the number of young families there was astounding. Little children.. I would guess that maybe 50% of the rally was between 25 and 50.. 30% were seniors and 10 to 20% were college or late highschool age.. the reason I say 10 to 20% for that age range is because it is so hard to discern age between 18 and 25 to 30

I saw this same dynamic in 2016.

I was the O'Malley precinct captain, and we were not viable. Not one young family in our group. I watched the Hillary side of the room and when they divided up.. most young families went to the HRC side of the room.

The media keeps focusing on just young college age voters.. and honest to GOD highschool. but the one thing that rings in who wins in Iowa, is the young family and middle family with children just leaving the house.

This was true with O'bama in 2008 also.

That is my observation from actually living here. see if it rings true again

Edit to add.. we take our kids to caucus

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

since obviously you're a democrat otherwise you wouldn't be on DU. Is Trump the only name on the republican ticket? Isn't Bill Weld still running or like some other states only Trump gets to run in the primary. Thanks in advance.

truthfully I have not a clue who they voted on.. The republicans do it differently than the Democrats.. they have a straw poll and use their caucus time to organize. We organize also at caucus, but do a visual vote, so to speak and pick delegates who will do the actually voting later..

I wondered if any other republicans have a chance. If their name doesn't get on the ballot they don't have a chance. Maybe some republicans have had enough or Trump and would vote for someone else.

No family has to send their 17 year old to war. If the parents don't want to send their 17 year old to war they don't have to sign the consent form. If they sign the form, they consent, they agree. You said families that don't want to send their kids to war.

Just 25 more hours and its all yours.. I will have nothing left to say about who our candidate will eventually be, but be a back up to who ever is voting that week.. Thank God , rofl!!

Joe is standing there telling his story..what he plans to do.. and then he gets on the subject of Trump.. and he says " You know what I will do to him if I am your candidate"..and the whole crowd erupted into..""Beat him like a drum".. I told hubby, that Joe needs to be giving away drum buttons. that just broke up the whole crowd. we did a lot of laughing and just enjoyed the moment.

Since I now live in the great blueberry of Iowa, this is where Sanders and Warren should be able to run up their numbers.. (Johnson County) but I think Joe is going to do better here than Hillary did in 2016 in this county.. I will let you know.. if we do well here.. look out its going to be a big night for Joe... Last caucus I lived in the tomato soup part of Iowa.. so I am really excited to see how this caucus will feel and work.. woo hoo..
