3. Does it? I don't think so, actually.

Rather, it is the runners up who require more funds, not the leader. Seems like Joe Biden's doing just fine, to me, based on current polling.

5. Its true the front runner does get extra press time to make up for the smaller numbers, but...

do you think it might reveal something about enthusiasm? I guess time will tell...

10. I doubt you're really interested in what I think.

However, Joe Biden has plenty of enthusiastic supporters. But, he's not out there begging for contributions, really. I assure you that contributions will come in as they are needed. Right now, it's just the early states that require campaigning. Soon, there will be more demands on candidates' funds.

Joe seems to be doing just fine, though. He's maintaining his nice lead, and has been since the very beginning of the primary campaign. He hasn't really pushed for campaign fund donations very hard. I'm sure he will be doing more of that, though. But, he's still raising plenty of money for what he needs to do. Really, just showing up at events seems to work really well for him. That's not terribly costly, really.

6. But...

...I wonder why Bernie - with all that cash - isn't polling at least 20 points higher...i.e. 10 points for a catch-up to Joe, and another 10 to make his (Bernie's) point.

And why isn't Pete's polling higher with all that cash? He's softened a bit in Iowa and has dropped a bit in New Hampshire. And he seems to be missing from everywhere else.

primary today, I would vote for:

11. I think Biden's take is fine...

I expected him to come in behind Sanders. Any other quarter, $22M is nothing to sneeze about. Sanders pulled in an incredible amount all things considered and Mayor Pete did a lot better than I expected....guess the Wine Cave helped.

16. If we assume 50 people at the Wine Cave...

...each giving the Federal Max of $2800, that's $140,000. That's 0.5% of his quarterly number.

That is a fair indication of where the wind is blowing, isn't it?

Concerning.

Disqualifying, even.

Hey... I get it. You need to focus on a perceived problem to the exclusion of the OP to make it more convenient to throw pretense at the wall in the hope it sticks.

9. WOW....

didn't realize Yang raised to much $ - for him. That has got to be a record. He must have picked up a lot of support from the debates.

Will be interesting to see what Warren and Klobuchar raised. I heard Warren didn't do as well in the 4th Q as she did in the 3rd. Managing expectations.

But this is a very respectable haul for Biden! Way to go!

Looks like he is solidifying support. People consistently seem to be rallying behind the candidate who has been the most respectful to other Democrats.

30. This really shows you that a lot of it is about the person and policies, not the money.

Biden is being out raised yet maintaining his front runner status. It's about the person, not the spending.

True testament to his character.
