Whoever wins for us
Complimentary VPs ? Do Warren and Sanders need a more conservative non-New England VP?
Biden fans, does he need a younger, optimistic type like Beto... What kind of VP does each need?

but I'm so damn sick of my anti-republicon vote being taken for granted by corporate-ass-kissing, wall-street-lackey, "moderate" democrats.
We need real change. Someone who champions workers and regular average Americans. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

18. Biden/Warren
I think to do anything else, with Warren and Sanders having a combined polling total higher than Biden's, will spell decreased voter turnout in the general from progressives and young people.
Biden isn't managing to get over 30% in polls. A LOT of people like the progressive agenda, too. Why not split the ticket, have him do his health care plan, foreign policy, but put Warren in charge of the things she's great at, like her plans to go after billionaires, to get free college and eliminate student debt, free child care, and so much more. As a TEAM, they would be unstoppable. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

5. I think Joe Biden will want someone who will be his "Joe Biden."
Not to say a clone of himself, but someone who will have his back the way he had Barack Obama's back.
And someone who can help move legislation through Congress they way he did. And someone he trusts on foreign policy matters. Early in the race I thought that might be Cory Booker. Now? I'm thinking Sen. Klobuchar is mostly likely. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

14. I think Biden needs a candidate that can excite
the youth and progressives in our party. If he wins it would complete a whole. Experience, dignity and wisdom matched with youth and optimism.
Someone running now who could never manage to garner more than 1-2% of the vote with no upward trajectory doesn't seem to scream excitement at all in my mind. In fact, we may be at the point where people who have recognized they weren't catching on or that this wasn't the right time are looking more attractive because they recognized that? ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

10. I don't see it.
I don't see how Abrams would be of particular service in getting legislation through Congress.
I don't see that she has the sort of foreign policy experience that I believe Biden will require from a VP. And I'm unaware of any strong personal relationship that makes him believe Stacey Abrams will have his back. As I said before, I think these will be key considerations for Biden when he selects a VP. 8. For Biden?
I think a woman is called for and a woman of color would be ideal. My dream ticket has always been Biden/Harris. Biden/Abrams would certainly work. In fact, just today there was an editorial indicating Abrams would be open to a VP slot. A bit of signaling there? Maybe.

11. I like Abrams, too.
I honestly thought she wasn't interested in the VP slot, more interested in an executive position, but the article I read this morning opened the door to the possibility. She's wildly popular and with good reason. She'd be an excellent selection and excite a lot of voters.
So . . . we shall see. ![]() ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

16. It's a hard one ? She's so bigger than life. I know
A lot of fiscal conservative socially liberal types who would never vote for her because they are scared of big discretionary spending. Maybe someone to mitigate that? But then the person wouldn't match. That's a dilemma that a more moderate candidate doesn't have.

That's just simple Democratic demographics.

17. Guess it depends on how powerful the desire is of all
Dems to put personal preference on hold and vote out the monster.
Last poll I saw was many months ago and we were split 50-50. If trump skates through Impeachment I see that changing more toward who does best in matchups with Dingbat. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

If a moderate candidate wins the nomination, they will have to pick a progressive running mate. If a progressive wins the nomination, they will have to pick a moderate running mate.

23. Whoever wins the nomination
is going to have to get real and check out the polling numbers. Right now the leading moderate candidate has 30% in the polls and the two people right behind him (both progressives) combined have 35%. It would be very, very foolish for anyone, moderate or progressive to think you could win the most delegates and have a blank check to choose your VP based on someone you got along with, someone you thought would "have your back" or be an awesome golfing buddy.
It would be a mistake for a moderate to win and assume progressives will fall in line behind their candidate. The same is true in reverse. Ideally, we need a balanced ticket, and for both people on it not to move forward thinking "well, I'm going to get EVERYTHING I WANTED when I was campaigning" but rather take from the best and most popular ideas both candidates had to offer. Warren's M4A plan (much as I love her) is freaking people out. Many progressives I talk to do not feel Biden speaks to any of the issues they care about. If they joined forces (just an example), and took the best from both their proposals, something like Buttigieg's health care plan, Biden's foreign policy, Warren's plans to tax billionaires and use that money to pay for college, eliminate student loan debt, pay for child care, etc, I think you would see them getting out the vote across all demographics of the party. On the flip side, if Biden chooses another person like Biden, we're going to have turnout issues from young people and progressives. If Warren chooses another person like Warren, we're going to have turnout issues from moderates and black voters. They would, IMHO be strongest together or with someone who is the opposite ideologically from them. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

like Biden, bring qualifications and independent thought. It is the GE. Biden will draw the widest coalition.
