We get a much fuller, richer picture of the candidates in the Town Hall format. The debates become ping-pong matches with everyone trying to get a memorable few seconds or a tagline for the next news cycle. But little in the way of real substance is revealed because of time constraints and basic format.

So, thumbs up to this approach. Enjoyed it.

just lecture. No communication loop. They talk at. You know Joe feels the room. He’s not speaking
in that “ I am selling you my fabulous plan, which if you have a noodle in your head and a soul, you are gonna want.” Some are too carried away with the sound of their own proposals.

His foreign policy talk was great.

He's on point and thoroughly engaging. Also feisty defending his positions and comments by others. Several poignant moments as he spoke to the subject of loss and grief, living life beyond personal tragedy with purpose, service.

Pierce is right. Very Bidenesque. Fabulous answer on immigrant soldiers and veterans and the way Trump has discarded them. When asked what would he do: Bring. Them. Home. Same fervor on the question of Dreamers.

He's knocking it out of the ballpark by being who he is: Joe Biden.
