Nate Silver: who supports Tulsi Gabbard In New Hampshire

Lest you make the mistake that Tulsi Gabbard's support is coming from the left, almost all of her support in the Q-Pac poll of NH is from voters who describe themselves as conservative or moderate. And almost all from indePendents

3. Remember, the 1968 NH primary, in which 'Clean Gene McCarthy' poured all out assets into

NH as a Viet Nam protest, and achieved an amazingly strong showing against the sitting President LBJ, who soon dropped out of the Presidential contests.

Post-election, post- mortem, revealed that a decisive number of NH voters, thought they were voting for Joe [nee 'tailgunner joe' McCarthy, a vicious, drunken, anti-commie from the 1950's].

[These 'moves' marked the end of the FDR coalition, as the various factions and their candidates - enabled loser Nixon, to win the WH].
