Anti-Biden magazine The Nation: "No smoking gun" on impeachment. Dems on "cold war mentality"

This is from an article just three days ago, folks, by Aaron Mate. So you can have all idea of what kind of publicaron this is, which today announced it is anti-endorsing Joe Biden:

https://www.thenation.com/article/trump-impeachment-cold-war/

The available testimony does not strike me as being as damning for Trump as it is being portrayed.

...
This impeachment thing isn't a good idea, because food stamps:
The day after the House impeachment vote also coincided with the end of the comment period for a Trump administration plan to cut food programs for low-income Americans. According to government estimates, around 3 million recipients face the loss of food stamp benefits and close to 1 million children are at risk of losing automatic placement in federal school lunch programs.

About the three people who delivered testimony incriminating Trump, Mate says they're not credible because they opposed Trump's foreign policy:

Given their open dedication to ensuring the continuation of US military aid to Ukraine, it is reasonable to question if the trio’s interpretations of decisions and conversations about freezing military aid were colored by their own policy preferences. As The Washington Post put it, Vindman “told lawmakers that he was deeply troubled by what he interpreted as an attempt by the president to subvert U.S. foreign policy.” While undoubtedly many Democrats and Republicans share Vindman’s foreign policy views, it should be up to the president, not unelected bureaucrats, to decide US foreign policy.

Also, Trump should not be impeached because he's trying to take away food stamps:

Here's Aaron Mate on RT:

The same author (on October 28 this year) called for the investigators of Russia interference to be investigated:

7. My longevity of lack thereof isn't what bothers you

The exposure of the magazine that is against a candidate you oppose is what bothers you.

4. Because it sheds light on a magazine that today "anti-endorsed" Joe Biden

If a pro-Russia magazine takes sides on the primary, it's primary news. Knowledge about the nature and motivations of this magazine is necessary.

2. Welcome to DU.

The Nation is not an "anti-Biden" magazine. It has been published for over 150 years.

5. That made no sense

What kind of logic is, "Magazine X isn't against such individual because it was founded in the 19th century"?

8. So is any magazine that does not support Biden an anti-Biden magazine?

Or, is it possible that not everyone supports Biden as a first choice?

If you stay here, you will notice many candidate groups.

12. I have read the Nation for many years.

And I read other magazines as well, but I do not agree with any source 100% of the time.

And as I said earlier, there are a number of Groups here devoted to one candidate or another. But looking at the survey bar above the primary post Group, most of us are undecided.

And we generally all have strong opinions as to who would be the best candidate.

That’s what I told them when I canceled my subscription 3 years ago. I’ve been cheering for its demise ever since.
