2. Very high taxes on cigarettes in northern states like NJ, NY, CT, etc. has created quite a large....
....bootlegging industry from the Carolinas.

The Sanders plan did not include a proposed tax rate for legal marijuana sales or an estimate for annual revenue raised. A study released last year by New Frontier Data estimated legal marijuana nationwide would generate about $132 billion in tax revenue over a decade. It based the figures on a 15% retail sales tax along with other business-related taxes, according to The Washington Post.
I don’t think that is extreme. Nor is safe regulated reasonably taxed pot going to do anything other than get the criminals out of the pot business. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

4. Look at the state taxes people out west pay on weed
additional taxes on weed would make medical weed unaffordable to those who need it. It's a backdoor way to empower cartels and street dealers.
