Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumReally - 8 candidates already make the next debate stage?
Per the below article. 8 candidates already make the next debate stage. This is getting annoying. They need to make it harder to get on the stage. 3% support is not high enough. There shouldn't be more than 6 candidates on the stage at this point. Having this many people hurts candidates like Harris & Buttigieg that are more unknown but that actually have a chance to break through.
At this point it should be Biden, Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg, Harris

One might also note that early frontrunners have traditionally not become the nominee of the party, so I am perfectly content to wait the process out.

(47,470 posts)and not to rely on the leaders of the DNC or on political junkies like us.
One important observation from 2008 and 2016 was that all the states, many who would normally faced a done deal, had a chance to vote in their primaries that took place as late as June or September.
And, yes, I think that Klobuchar belongs there way ahead of Steyer and Yang.
But, we are still faced with voters who yearn to "business owners" to run the country like a business while ignoring all other branches of government not to mention the rules of how the country should be run.
Who said do this and don't ask question. Because this is the way they have made their success.
