I would like to point out that should Sen. Sanders win the primary and hopefully

the election, a Republican governor would appoint the next Senator from Vermont. We need to take the Senate and can not afford to give up Vermont. This is why although I love him, I was glad Sherrod Brown (Ohio) decided not to run. I am not a Sanders supporter for full disclosure. I don't care for Sen. Sanders but even if I did I would be concerned about the Senate.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

1. Sadly, that's also the situation with Warren.

Republican Governor Charlie Baker of Mass. doesn't have to run again until 2022.

2. That's an interesting point, but Sanders lost a fair

portion of his more passionate followers some time ago. Losers don't appeal to them any more than they do to their counterparts on the right. Then you have all the more mainstream Democrats who liked him before our losses in 2016. Plus, if he doesn't fall behind fairly fast, the press will be reporting more on a lot of other segments of his past that they hid in 2016.

Sure, Russia and the GOP have been promoting Sanders all along, obviously feeling he'll serve their needs as a splinter candidate again, and that's a huge problem to worry about. But no worry at all that winning would cause his seat to become vacant. They intend Republicans to win.
