Based on the 538 Six Wings of the Democratic Party thing - a poll

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-six-wings-of-the-democratic-party/?ex_cid=story-twitter

Interested about the relative population here at DU - Given that none of us care much for labels, I suspect...which category do you best fit (trying to get a sense of how the DU community spreads out across these categories...and not posted for mind-changing or fighting!)

but I do get your point - I don't like people making assumptions about my beliefs! Same thing with my Myers Briggs - it really hasn't budged, and I answer the questions the same way, for the last many decades since taking it.

thanks though - I appreciate your comment, and understand.

It's this continued purity politics that will continue to play into the Republicans hands. Why do we want to continue destroying ourselves from the inside?

I love how AOC is helping shape the Overton Window so that hopefully Medicare for All and the Green New Deal are considered as American as apple pie one day.

For a district like NY-14 I am comfortable with a super progressive (AOC) in there. However, should she run for Joe Manchin's seat, she'd get her ass kicked. I'd rather have Joe Manchin than a teabagger in that seat.

For president, I don't think this country would elect a super progressive. I'd rather have a Democrat, any Democrat, who can win than a 2nd Trump term.

I think you have to move there in small steps.

So I chose old school progressive.

Huge leaps won't win in the general, imho.

But mostly I like chocolate cake.

Also - I like all the Dem candidate so far over any Con or Independent.
