(83 posts)I, too, have wanted Senator Warren to be our president for years. I have made several contributions to her campaign and will continue to do so as long as she remains in the race.
Frankly, I think Biden is going to be our nominee because he's the "safe" choice. And I will vote for him if, indeed, he is the Democratic candidate for president.
But it sure would be nice to vote for a candidate that I want to see become president to the marrow of my bones. I haven't had that feeling since I voted for McGovern in '72. Hopefully, Warren will be our candidate and I will live to see a true progressive in the White House during my adulthood.
Edit -- I did vote for Obama enthusiastically in 2008. But, he had me fooled. I realized that the day that Axelrod belligerently referred to me and like-minded progressives as "the professional left".

(11,432 posts)In Ireland, i met family from Rhode Island, asked him who of the 25 he liked. He said Elizabeth Warren and went on and on about how great she was.
I told him she was my number two and since my primary is later who knows who will be left then.
He said he liked Pete too he was one of his top 3.
I am enjoying meeting people from all over the states, people are engaged and hoping against hope to get rid of Trump.
