2. He co-sponsored legislation on this already when he was in Congress

And his co-sponsor was Julianís brother. That is one reason why julianís attack came across as so dishonest since he knew that Beto knows this issue well

3. I lost all respect for Castro

when he wouldn't let Beto use his 30 seconds to refute that disingenuous attack.

4. He went after Beto again tonight at the LULAC townhall

And he used the same "I can't speak Spanish because..." excuse. He is younger than I am and from Texas, where many people speak Spanish. They required two years of a foreign language in high school. I am sure they offered Spanish in school and just like Beto did, he could have learned it in school if he wanted to communicate with people in Spanish. He chose not to.

5. I did not know that

I just assumed that Castro spoke Spanish. No wonder he's having trouble getting out of low digits in the polls. I assume that a fair percentage of Democratic voters are of Latino heritage, I figured that he'd do well once he announced his candidacy.

6. I agree with Julian Castro.

Remove criminalization completely from 1325.

If you create in a loophole that someone can be prosecuted for crossing the border if the person is supposedly a threat (without enough evidence to prosecute that person under any other law) then the next Republican administration will use the loophole for the same policies as Trump.

Beto O'Rourke is advocating a loophole.

7. Yeah, but "he's not Mayor Pete!"

Also, "his poll numbers are down" and don't forget this gem, "he should run for the Texas Senate seat".
