Why does Biden keep talking about working with Obama?

We have heard that a number of times on different media stations.. okay

Discussing that question at coffee over the weekend.. being one of a couple of VP BIden supporters in the group, I was getting ready to jump on that .. when sitting two chairs down..an old friend.. a retired research scientist, who does not really talk that much.. looks up, and says.. (as well as I can remember it)

"What should he talk about?.. He is the only one with Executive Office experience, and he actually has participated in doing the job he is running for,..this is exactly what he should be talking about.. what you know and how do you plan to do the job"

Well later that evening I came in and tried to post something along the same lines in someone else's op.. but the more I thought about it.. you know.. it can stand on its own..so my dear friends in the MSM.. he would be a fool not to talk about the exact experience that makes him so valuable for the job

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

that makes him so valuable for the job.

Anyone recall Al Gore's experience, when he did everything BUT talk about his experience working with Pres. Clinton?

3. Serious Question: Does Joe Biden get equal credit with President Obama?

Yes, he was the VP for eight years, so does that means he gets equal credit with President Obama? Is it a 50/50 split?

How much credit for a prior administration should a Vice President get?

Right. The guy who ran twice and got nowhere is only viable at all this time around because he was Obama's VP.

So yeah being Obama's VP is pretty clearly something he's going to use... because Obama is still immensely popular.

Nothing "insulting" about that reality. It's the plainly obvious play any candidate would make. You are just looking for insults.

35. Yeah, that's true. It's another of my silly questions.

I am trying to make up my own mind about it. I ruminate on weird political questions like this a lot.

How much credit should a VP get for a prior administration? Obviously some.

I am trying to be fair about it, but also be less vague.

If it's even possible to put a number on it, my gut number would be... 15-35%.
Depending on the extra responsibilities a VP performed.

I would imagine that Obama sought Bidenís council. And VPs are sometimes referred to as presidents of the senate. In that capacity, Biden would have been influential with some pieces of legislation.

Itís more interesting question than I had originally thought!

8 years of
1 - economic recovery from a recession the previous GOP administration that was damn well on the brink of collapse, to one that is what it is today. My retirement portfolio thanks Obama/Biden
2- instant restoration of relationships with our allies, & of America's position as the greatest nation on earth
3- healthcare for millions of uncovered Americans
4- a scandal-free administration!!!!

Just to name a few accomplishments should anyone question why Joe Biden should not be talking about the Obama years. I would tack his name to it as well - Obama/Biden

10. A verb a noun and

Obama. To paraphrase Biden.

You'er right that Biden should tout his experience in the Obama administration. Where it becomes problematic is that he claims credit for the success' of the administration rather than pointing out specifics of his role in the administration.
He also has a tendency to deflect criticism of his role and specific failures of the administration by claiming they are attacks on Obama.

Biden has a long record and he was an important figure in the Obama administration. He should run on them. But he needs to defend those things in his record that are problematic and if he is taking on Obama's mantle he needs to defend those thing that are problematic there as well.
