I've decided on Elizabeth Warren. Let me tell you why.
I've always liked her as I do many others, just wasn't sure.
But after watching Warren's interviews post debate, youtube videos of various speeches and reading some of her 20 policy papers (I plan to read them all), I was just about ready to go with her but still not 100%. Then something happened today. I met a colleague for happy hour and we started talking about the debates and the candidates. She told me her 15 year old son loves Warren. He loves her because she's able to explain her plans and how DC works in a way that he can understand. He also thinks she's running for we the people, not herself. She's uplifting when she speaks and her enthusiasm is contagious. There's something to that. For me, listening to her seems ease the pall that I've been carrying around since 2016. I'm done with negativity and politics as usual. Warren is different and right now, think she's exactly what we need.

16. Politics is a very noble profession as long as the interests of ALL citizens
stay foremost in the politician's mind and actual policy. Someone has to step forward and lead in any society, people at Occupy
learned that, the concepts being highlighted were amazing, except for the aversion to selecting leaders. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

8. I originally had the opinion that Elizabeth Warren was unelectable...
I have totally changed my opinion about that. I do believe she can win both the primary and general election. I am also hoping that she chooses Kamala Harris for VP. I think that is an undefeatable ticket... I know it is still early, but these two give me hope for the country..the future..and world.

17. I have friends in Massachusetts who were that way about her on her first Senate run.
They believed there was no way she could beat Scott Brown. She went anywhere to talk to people and built up rapt followers on every stop. Soon she had completely eroded the ground from under Brown.
I have said it before. Facing her is Trump's worst nightmare, he just does not know it yet. She will turn every one of his cheap insults and name calling back on him. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

11. I expect she'll be the Democratic nominee
I hope your son will be able to vote to re-elect her in a little over 5 years.
Since she was denied running the CFPB (by Mitch), and then showed them by moving to the Senate, I've seen a sure-footed liberal/progressive step up for the people. Her position papers align with my hopes for the future. If I get a chance to vote for her in our primary she'll have my vote. I just hope that we can capture the Senate majority, preferably without Senator Schumer at the helm (didn't like his capitulation on border funding). I believe that Democrats will hold the House, perhaps even get a few more seats. Amongst the herd of Democratic candidates, I'd say pick Mayor Pete as the VP, I think he'd make a good President in 8 years, and he's from a really red state. Kamala Harris has impressed me since she becoming the attorney general of California. She'd be a spectacular improvement over Barr as the US Attorney General. Not saying much there, anyone with a conscience would be. Since she's a senator from one of the bluest states, with a Democratic governor, the Senate seat would stay blue. I wonder if Governor Inslee would be offered a job in the administration? EPA? Interior? ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

19. The one risk with Warren's seat if she wins the Presidency is the republican Governor of
Massachusetts could name himself to the seat. He is currently popular there and is solidly from the never Trump wing of that party. I suspect that he would be a Susan Collins type, vote with Dems against really outrageous stuff, but find a way to vote with repughs most of the time. He is a Bill Weld prodigee, the guy who is running against Trump.

25. In MA, he picks an interim Senator and they have a special election
With the presidency, if Warren wins, they immediately schedule a special election which the Democrats likely win. Warren can keep the seat until she opts to resign, making the period for an interim senator very short.

27. My friends didn't vote for him. But they say the republican governor in
Massachusetts is pretty popular right now. There is no certainty that a democrat can win the open Senate seat against him. But even with that risk, I would still take a President Warren handsdown.

I mean, I would vote for anyone over Trump, but with Warren I would feel like she'd be a good president. It wouldn't be like "well, at least she's better than Trump" type of thing.

18. Long way to go yet!!
I love the way she explains her plans, too!! We have never ever had a candidate that has been so good at explaining their opinions. No BS, just plain facts and right to the point!! I have a feeling if she were president, she would explain every move she makes. She doesn't talk in riddles and keep all of trying to figure out what she is saying! And......she isn't vague and has thought all of our needs out.

28. Nice summary
Warren is sharp, deep, and makes clear where she stands ... and she is focused on Trump being an existential threat to this country's future. I hope she keeps going. I don't know if we can risk losing her Senate seat, however; my understanding from when she was considered for VP in 2016 is that in the event of a Senate or House vacancy, Massachusetts currently requires a special election to be held within 145 to 160 days. In the interim, the governor has the authority to appoint a successor, and Baker is governor until 2023. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
