1. I noticed him stumbling with his words on The View, too.
Last edited Wed May 1, 2019, 05:14 AM - Edit history (1) I would imagine he's very low on sleep. Edited to add: I am not mentioning sleep as a reference to Trump's nickname, but because I stumble with my words when I'm low on sleep. (I'm in my 50's.) It's what I hope caused this.
If he continues to have trouble finding words, he could have some loss of mental acuity. This wouldn't be disqualifying to me--loss of mental acuity isn't Alzheimer's--as it could be offset by his experience, values and judgment. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

6. But, it is a fact of life
At 72, I pay more attention to my walking and how fast I walk, just to make sure I don't fall and break a hip. I am more aware when I am driving. I go up and down my staircase a little it slower. I talk a little bit slower so I don't stumble over words. Mother nature waits on no one.

9. This is why I think we need someone young
I love Joe but I love more the idea of someone young and new and fresh with no baggage.

11. The people who are dismissing it
must not remember what it was like to watch Reagan deteriorate.
And they must not understand that there is no good test for determining who's at risk of Alzheimers; and that the risk doubles every five years after 65 -- and that a third to a half have it by age 85. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

13. You must not understand that men have a much lower risk of getting Alzheimer's than women. And that
people who don't have the risk factors have a very low risk.
These are the risk factors: diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, smoking, depression, cognitive inactivity or low education, and physical inactivity. As far as I know, none apply to Biden. He's physically fit and active, doesn't smoke or drink, has the social connections and interactions that many seniors don't (lacking those social connections is supposed to be a major risk factor), and so on. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

14. The risks aren't low enough for me to be comfortable for anyone at that age taking on a job
as demanding as being President.
Not when we have several other well qualified candidates. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

16. I wasn't thinking of Alzheimer's, but some loss of mental acuity.
That doesn't have to be a precursor to Alzheimer's, and in terms of the job requirements, it can be more than offset by experience and sound judgment.
It did give me pause, though. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

15. I honestly believe that if biden feels at any point he cannot fulfill his duties he will step aside
He has a long record of doing the right thing for our country and truly cares about the American people. This will be no different.

12. I agree. But, I want him to be the one to save us
and rid us from evil trump. I think he can be an excellent example for the abilities of people in their 70s. We will honor age and wisdom and couple that with youth and optimism. (Running mate).

Don't vote for a president who sleeps! It's a comedy show.

5. He did a great job... I listened,...I am not likely to support any candidate who's
Supporters go after other candidates so viciously in a primary in the event I need to for some unknown reason...bottom of the list

"They are not my opponents, they are my competitors and it is my job to lay out my own vision for the country."
