Even if you live in a red state: Primaries are the most important time to vote

Both times the Oklahoma poll was posted, people have asked if it even matters, because Oklahoma will go red. Yes! Primaries decide which candidate you want to run from your party. So democrats vote for democratic candidates, republicans vote for republican candidates. So if you don't think Bernie has a chance in your state, that's why you vote in the primaries, because it won't be pitting democrats vs republicans, and your vote matters a ton. Even if you live in blue state, primaries are sooo important to getting Bernie elected. If Hillary wins the primaries, Bernie doesn't get to run in the general.

To clarify the title, the misconception is that voting in the primary doesn't matter.
