I'm getting really anoyed the way the Clintonistas are treating us.

They are so full of themselves all they can do is belittle us and say bullshit about Bernie. I may take a break until Bernie get's some really good news,

I won't bee gone long, but I already have about 30 people on full ignore and it doesn't see to help.

2. I had to take a break too

I was getting very nasty with how I was responding to people. I might have to do it again. Some people think insinuating all kinds of things about a candidate is just fine and dandy as long as they don't come out and say those nasty things.

10. Oh the hypocrisy

It's perfectly fine when they read between the lines about Bernie and accuse him of being sexist because of the "shouting" comment when he never meant anything like that.

But as soon as you call them out for insinuating anything it's "NO, I NEVER LITERALLY SAID THAT THEREFORE I NEVER MEANT THAT. I AM IMMUNE TO ALL DEEPER THOUGHT AND CAN ONLY BE INTERPRETED AS A ROBOT LOL"

40. Meanwhile at the cave...

they encourage abstract thinking:

I tried to argue context for decision making over at DU but soon found that Sanders supporters have no desire to consider context. We need someone who is able to do this and is not a concrete thinker.

http://hillaryclintonsupporters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1963#p19167

And yet Clinton can't be literally taken to have said Sanders was sexist, we must keep to concrete thinking.

I think some of them get confused.

Some are evil, some are stupid, some are both. Most of them date from before the primary season started.

I occasionally go turn back on a dozen or so, and find that these idiots have disappeared from the ranks....tombstoned? Discouraged?

Sometimes I have to Re-Ignore, and those are the ones that don't get another chance with me.

5. I had a total flip out yesterday.

All I wanted to do was talk politics and all we got back was twisted crap thrown all over the boards. It was impossible to even talk to someone who wanted to talk without all the interruption. For the first time ever I actually loaded my ignore list. It is much more pleasant today. I hate that it is this way. I still have a lot of Clinton supporters and as I see how they handle themselves I will decide what to do. I don't want to get rid of them all, there are some very nice people supporting her with just very different ideas than I have. As soon as things get made up and the swift boating starts they will be gone. I still have a few who tear things up but we are "friends" so we will see.

We have not been perfect but this is just childish and outrageous behavior.

You can just trash GD-P for a little while too and still get your fix in here.

It sucks. This is no way to work out what is best for our country. It is more like who gets to hit first in a playground hard ass ball game.

Ignore them and let them bore themselves.

Especially since the key players are such craven liars, much like Hillary herself.

Three months ago, if you had asked me, I would have said, if Bernie loses, of course I'll vote for Hillary. But now, honestly, I'm not so sure. I wish it weren't so, but it is. If the election were today and it were between Hillary and Trump, I'd vote Green.

AUTOMATED MESSAGE: Results of your Jury Service

On Wed Oct 28, 2015, 06:16 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

I'm over it too. I'm not a big poster, but The Swarm is just too much.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1280&pid=67124

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Calling DUers "craven liars" (and from a protected group where the targets cannot respond). How is this not rude or over the top?

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Oct 28, 2015, 06:22 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: In a protected group, my understanding is that group has more leeway as to what they allow. I don't recall getting called to jury duty when someone uses disparaging terms routinely to smear the 2nd Amendment posters.

If your alert was about voting Green over the Democratic nominee, regardless who it was that won the nomination, I would give your alert more consideration. Complaining about name calling, in a protected group, doesn't trip my hide lever.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

34. I would be very bothered

if my candidate was untrustworthy, unreliable regarding what she says and what she has done or might do and all the other things we all have talked about. I think they might worry about what is lurking out there that polls don't pick up. We don't even know. The environment is rich for big change and ours is the candidate that fulfills that. It is also hard for certain people to tolerate those that they see as less than or what they think of as "Woo". I know you didn't really need an answer but writing things down here helps me think.

35. Okay most of that makes sense to me

but I don't see how they can possibly see us as "less than," because, if you've noticed, most of them don't have deep or beautiful or joyful thoughts and few of them express themselves well (imo.) By "woo," do you mean peace-loving, sentimental, that sort of thing? I've seen some of that attitude in them. It makes me feel sorry for them, like they're missing some part of life. Hmm. Well that could cause them to be bothered. Plus, we have a really good candidate, and they have what they have. So maybe they feel bad about themselves. I don't how we should respond to that because they express it with such nastiness. Maybe we could respond with the names and contact information of therapists, lol. Or soothing videos. Oh in fact I think there are videos of advice types telling how to relax, etc. It might be fun. Heck, it might help.

I write things down to sort out my thoughts but have never noticed that in your comments, which always seem very real and polished.

Oh while we're at it, you sig-line trumpet image -- is that arabic writing (or Farsi) in the lines? It sort of resembles it. I could be way, way off but thought I'd ask.

I have admired your posts for some time, this one is excellent. Calming and focusing videos help everyone but would probably smack back as we would seem to be saying we know a better way.

My sig pic is a clarinet I found a long time ago and grabbed it off the net. I play clarinet in our local orchestra. I have been thinking about getting a small tat of it on my wrist, it is getting close to retirement time. I just love the way it looks.

42. I hate to admit it, but

I was being facetious with the video suggestion. I'm rather pissed at a gaggle of her supporters who gave me a hide today for defending sabrina after a bunch of them descended into one of her threads and verbally assaulted her repeatedly, something they do a lot of to our best OP posters. They're just awful; I cannot stand them. So to respond to their nastiness with "chill out" videos struck me as a fun way to tweak them for their behavior.

But you were very nice to take it seriously and suggest that it might not go over well. I think that's sweet and wish I still had that much innocence about them.

Clarinet is a lovely instrument with such a clear, cool sound and it must be wonderful to be able to play one well enough for an orchestra. A small tat, if well done, could be charming. It's nice to have these things we love in our lives. Yes, it is a striking and beautiful sig pic.

I have been told it is not all that bad, perhaps it is good that it upsets me to feel that way and say things like that enough that I stop before it gets bad. I also am very literal and may not always get the jokes or interpret things well so I do miss things but I did catch your humor and knew you were pissed off this time anyway. 58. Cool!

I am not a jazz fan but both of my sons are professional jazz musicians in KC so I do hear a lot of it. I should probably qualify that, you will not find me listening to jazz or buying it but live jazz is perfectly fun for me. Just spent an evening a few weeks ago with Bobby Watson and his group. What an enjoyable evening that was. I am not at all familiar with Jimmy Giuffre so I will be looking him up and listening. Thank you for mentioning his name so I can learn about him.

At the moment I am wishing the clarinet was underrated a little more, occasionally there is something impossible for me to play. I won't be on here long this next week I have a lot of practice time to put in. In classical music it is not underrated at all actually. I find we have some very wonderful parts to play in every concert and from most composers. It certainly is not used in jazz as much as classical but most reed players at least have one around for doubling.

Work in references like that when ever you can. It is wonderful to learn of someone new I had not heard of so thank you for that.

Though I have to admit I like his older stuff, the Jazz Messenger type stuff. Hubby primarily plays guitar; jazz guitar was his major at Rutgers. He's a computer scientists by day...much more conducive to eating.

I'm a big Jordi Savall fan, and follow the lute player Paul ODette but I also love everything from Bach to Britten. Really the only thing I don't listen to regularly is Stravinsky (which I find too jarring). But if left to my own devices I'm probably going to listen to something like this:

53. If you refuse to vote for Hillary, do so based on her and her policies, not on her supporters.

Every candidate has jackasses supporting them, even if you don't run onto them here. And let's face it, nobody on here is really going to be influencing any candidate once elected. So don't change your vote based on anything as stupid as what people who aren't the candidate or part of his or her inner circle do or say. Changing your vote based on the supporters of a candidate and how they treat you is incredibly petty, and debases the entire process of voting.

Deal with them with as much class as you muster, or ignore them. People who aren't deeply invested in these forum battles will glance notice who is saying what. That helps get Sanders supporters because our side really is for the 99%, and that's mostly who views these boards.

The whole "inevitability" mantra too easily comes off as sounding like privilege. Many of those who tout it can't see that. It's the Sanders campaign that's stirring the voters who've been on the sidelines. With Senator Sanders as our candidate, the progressive movement will ride into the White House on a wave.

49. funny that you started this thread

I didn't have a great day yesterday on here. And granted, it didn't help that I got really tough on Brown for endorsing Hillary and maybe got a little bit too snarky, but you can't even share any criticism of Hillary, her policies, or now even any of her surrogates and you were this awful attacker. and if I hear one more time how Bernie isn't a real Democrat I'm gonna vomit. I actually just logged in this morning to check and see if I had any responses to my post and then I was gonna leave, but I decided to check in with Bernie group. Actually think I'm going to take a break from GDP for a while and maybe from GD is well. It's weird, on one hand they think that the inevitable one cannot be stopped, but on the other hand they act like a bunch of frightened desperate people who go to any opportunity to smear Bernie anyone who supports him. If she such a force of nature what do they have to be afraid of?

i've actually never used ignore feature, but I think the best thing for me is just to stay out of GDP for a while. And even when Bernie starts to turn around and beat her, you know its going to get even worse and uglier. This will go all the way to the convention and the supers will probably try to steal it for Hillary, the place will erupt, and eventually the votes will be with Bernie and they'll have to nominate him. It'll be 2008 all over again, and then they'll be the ones threatening to sit out the general. And frankly, they can do whatever they want because he's got phenomenal numbers voting for him. and as to coming on here to stalk, they have their special little website where they can slam people all they want, but they can see everything we're doing. Frankly I don't care. People have to hide, well they have to hide for a reason because maybe the stuff they're saying is so crappy they wouldn't want to say it here.

51. Exactly spot on. They not only are sickening, they have about persuaded me

stay home if she is the nominee. (Please no lectures about my allowing the Pubs to win. I live in a red state that will vote Republican anyway.)

55. No, I just know I am an easy target for trolling.

If I see total bullpucky, I'm going to respond. And if I spent my time responding to all that bullpucky, I'd never get anything else done, and have far higher blood pressure to boot.

56. Plus you'd be alerted right of of DU.

Seems like some people can say the trashiest things and never seen to get TSed, while others do much less, but I think they get alerted by a group of rabid HRC people and it's a done deal. Somehow.

68. I think they set it up among themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a group who is always ready to be signed in when someone wants to trap a Bernie supporter. They seem to enjoy warfare -- much like their candidate.

If any of them are reading this, I hope they realize they are making their candidate even less attractive to the rest of us. Not very good PR.

67. Several of them pretty much admit that they are.

More than one have bragged that they're wealthy -- which is a notable trait of rightwing commenters on other fora; it always strikes me as a pathetic attempt to be "top dog." One who portrays herself as highly educated actually argued that the United States was founded on capitalist principles. But most aren't wealthy, just unthinking and strangely disinclined to form and hold firm principles and convictions (which could explain their imperiousness to our criticisms of their candidate).

Thom Hartmann distinguishes three groups of oligarchy supporters: 1) The oligarchs themselves 2) their shills -- Fox News, the MSM, Limbaugh, pundits, politicians, etc. 3) the dupes -- the vast number of Americans who are manipulated by the shills -- generally through appeals to racism, sexism, "Christian" identity, xenophobia, ego, and fear.

69. Me too, Elmer

But the way I figure it: it'll all out on our respective Primary election days (ours here in NC is a little late for my liking, but oh well). I think there will be a bigger swell for Bernie in actual primary vote tallies than some pollsters are thinking.
