Here’s Why The Bernie Sanders Iowa Surge Should Terrify The Koch Brothers

The Koch brothers should be terrified by the Bernie Sanders surge in Iowa because it demonstrates that the movement is growing to take the country back from the billionaire class.

(snip)
The Koch brothers and the billionaires can no longer afford to laugh off Bernie Sanders. They should be terrified because Sen. Sanders is storming the Heartland of this country with a message that is calling for their defeat.

Millions of people are rallying behind Sanders. His campaign isn’t some isolated blue state uprising. Sanders is going to red states. He is attracting new supporters in places like Iowa where the Kochs have had recent success.

The Koch brothers have the cash, but Bernie Sanders is building an army of voters. Where ever Sanders speaks, he attracts more supporters. It is a populist revolution. The masses are angry, and they are coming after Charles and David Koch.

They provided Hillary with a great deal of money and she is collapsing. They can't be happy that their investment might be in jeopardy

Their money isn't working. Their propaganda isn't working. Their class status is working against them.

In short, all of their tools(so far) are ineffective. I really hope we don't see all of their tools come out.

deregulation of the Banks, Buying the Media, Citizens United, all their Think Tanks and 'programs' to indoctrinate the young.

All their scare tactics about 'terror' etc. Decades of hard work and billions of dollars and now they are getting to see that once the people have a VOICE they are rejecting it all.

A vote for Bernie is a vote against the Corporate Coup of America.

Citizens United, which the billionaire class pushed through the SCOTUS to further solidify the oligarchy's power over our government. Bernie is directly challenging their notion that elections and, by extension, the government can be bought and controlled to serve their means and ends.

Power to the people! Go Bernie!

7. The Koch brothers never passed a single piece of billionaire-loving legislation.

That was done by the same politicians you and I have been electing and re-electing every two, four and six years. The Koch brothers don't owe you or me a single duty. Their only legal duty is to make disclosures required by law, etc. and to maximize profits for their stockholders. Holders of public office, however, do have duties to you and me.

I don't know of a thing your or I can do to control or punish the Koch brothers. In theory, though, the politicians work for us and are supposed to represent us and are accountable to us.

When we go straight to the Koch brothers or all billionairies and no one else, we go to people about whom we can do nothing. Doing that is too easy/convenient.

politicians, a lot of people still don't know who or why there are obscenely wealthy people, many still un-named, who have been doing this for a long time. And that these people are bribing, or worse, finding and funding candidates who are not representing the people.

You have to let people know what has happened to the system.

Show them a candidate's funding then their voting records. The two go hand in hand. You wouldn't have one without the other.

And the goal is to END, make it ILLEGAL to buy politicians. End the whole corrupt system and to do that people have to understand it. The Kochs were in the shadows for a long time. Bring all of them out into the open with their bags of money and let the people see who really is running things in this country.

Make taking money from wealthy donors so shameful that candidates will be afraid to do it.

In terms of being able to resolve the issue, one may as well blame Mother Nature for all our problems.
