O'Malley: Party 'facilitating a coronation' (debates)

Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley is lashing out at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for scheduling only six debates, accusing the party of “facilitating a coronation” for front-runner Hillary Clinton.

In a statement released moments after the DNC announced Thursday it would hold six debates spanning from October to March, O’Malley ripped the national party.

“By inserting themselves into the debate process, the DNC has ironically made it less democratic,” he said. “The schedule they have proposed does not give voters — nationally, and especially in early states — ample opportunity to hear from the Democratic candidates for President. If anything, it seems geared toward limiting debate and facilitating a coronation, not promoting a robust debate and primary process.”

The former Maryland governor, who barely registers in national polls and has struggled to gain traction in the race, said the debate schedule gives the impression that the DNC is “rigging the process and cutting off debate.”

Democrats invented super delegates, try to avoid primaries, and then tell you that you are promote evil unless you vote LOTE. And that all but vitiates your right to vote. So, yeah, ironic--among many other things.

I'm glad someone besides Bernie is saying this.

debate.

What if he and Sanders refuse to attend the rigged, scripted farce they are planning and some other org. scheduled REAL debates inviting ALL candidates to attend?

The threat, imagine THREATENING candidates, is the IF they attend other non-approved debates, they cannot attend THEIRS. Well, make it a toothless theat, let them hold their debate with only ONE candidate.

I've got a really crazy conspiracy theory for you (and I fully admit it is).

What if Biden is being kept in play to keep the other candidates in line? "If you go rogue then Biden joins the fray and we make it two horse race with everyone else left out in the cold".

I told you it was a crazy conspiracy theory.

All the contenders should be heard from and there should be plenty of opportunities, as there have been in the past, for full disclosure, for Democratic voters, who are not political junkies, to get to know the candidates.

We should all be lashing out, this is only going to hurt the Democratic Party and if Hilary is the candidate, it won't help her.
