US Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) will hold a student town meeting at Burlington High School to discuss the opioid crisis in Vermont and throughout the United States. The meeting will be held Friday at 1 pm. Sanders will be joined by a panel including Dr Heather Stein, associate medical director at the Community Health Centers of Burlington, and Vermont Attorney General TJ Donovan. Following the panel discussion, there will be a question and answer session with the students.
Attendance at Sanders’ Friday meeting is limited to Burlington High School students and staff. Members of the media are invited to attend the panel discussion, but due to the sensitive nature of the topic, the student question and answer portion will be off the record.
