Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumBernie Sanders Wins California big only if you believe in provisional ballots...
First, I believe in provisional ballots because they can be verified as being tied to the actual voter who voted. They are given out with the voter's belief that they will be counted. So, if this allegation that goes to court is true, then...
2/3rd of his votes weren't counted.

(26,624 posts)It seems fraudulent not to count 2/3 of Bernies votes.

(39,451 posts)In the primary. So to answer your question yes those ballots need to be counted.
I don't understand this voter suppression that occurs during the primaries. What is wrong with the Republican wanting to vote for one of our candidates? Especially with Trump as their candidate. I don't understand why these people should be penalized.
In the end it doesn't matter if those ballots are for Hillary or for Bernie. Of course I want them to be for Bernie but in the end I want the nominee to have won fair and square with ALL votes counted.
And count NYs provisionals while we're at it.

(20,453 posts)I've been following the election barriers as I see them. I've already had some personal experience at the local level. I'm not going to be so naive that I don't want truth, no matter who's ballot is counted.
Bernie has always said that if the voter turnout is big, he likely wins. That is quite evident based on the phone banking responses I've ever gotten in these states that have not counted provisional ballots.
Let them be counted.
Let us refuse any attempt to back door our right to vote in this country. It's bad enough that the economical suppression goes on beyond the 1%, and it's bad enough that the media do not do their job in asking the questions we have to while getting grief from people who should know better on this site.
I've about had it, but I'm watching this one very closely. There are many fights I could take up, but this is first and foremost.
And it isn't going away after some damned June 16th deadline.

(16,003 posts)during the Dem primary. My sister is personally involved in one regarding the "Independent/No Party Preference" ballots. Not sufficiently informed of all the details so I'm not going to go into any of them here. But suffice it to say, she's involved in a case that will be taken to court wherein her attempts to actually get her vote registered were thwarted in several ways.
