Trump-bashing getting a little old? This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Autumn (a host of the Bernie Sanders group). Yes, everybody can see him or her for themselves. They didn't need your help to point it out the first time, let alone the dozen times more. Or maybe it's like the exceedingly depraved people on reality tv shows? Gee, Homer, them fools on tv is so stupid. Can you believe how dumb they is? So as long as we hear a thousand times how horrible Trump is, then I guess who or what his opponent really is starts to no longer matters that much?

2. That's exactly what is going on. What is amazing is that the "straw man" is such a
cartoon character. One thing that Bernie Sanders' campaign has done has reduced the corporate overlords and their political minions to exposing their strategic maneuvers in such a flagrant way. Donald Trump, the biggest clown that could be found to play the role of the big, bad, bogeyman. The theater has become so cheap and shabby, barely hanging together, yet it still seems to work to enough of an extent that people aren't out in the streets in the millions, screaming bloody murder.

6. Kabuki theater gets tiresome after a while. We know the script. Behold the word math.
Bill+Donald= Hillary. There are speculations out there on the interwebs.

7. Hey, I just read that it is delusional to think there is much difference between Bernie and Hillary.
That I am just an overly invested Sanders supporter.
Honestly, I cannot think of a single reason I would want to be here, if Bernie is not the nominee. Already, the steady stream of Bernie But crapola is boring. And ineffectual. |

8. During the Romney Obama race in 2012
there was much discussion of Romney's "open a window on the airplane" remark. I noted that Romney has a weird sense of humor that often isn't funny, mostly because of his delivery. Nearly got flamed off this forum for that.
I would have made a terrible cheerleader because I prefer the truth, "know your enemy' and all that. Diversity is strength and group-think is vulnerability. |

9. It will backfire -
and the sad part is that we will end up with a very inexperienced billionaire as president. I'm getting to the point where I don't even know what to say anymore.

14. Eisenhower was the last complete "non-politician" president.
And he didn't turn out to be THAT bad. Wasn't that GOOD, either, of course. But better, in most respects , than other GOP presidents.
I'm not saying Trump is cut from the same cloth. I AM saying it's hard to KNOW... at this point.... what kind of president he MIGHT be. |

10. Apparently the strategy is being test driven here, prior to convention.
Its designers and practitioners may find that it enhances the Stein turnout more than anything else.
If Clinton can't make a compelling case for HERSELF.... she's not going to win. So far she hasn't. |

15. It's a pretty sorry case then.
If nothing else.... she's consistently inconsistent. If she thinks she's going to mouth some cliches about income and wealth inequality and Berners will stampede to her side, she's in for a shock.
Only someone with at least a smidgeon of credibility could make that work. And that ain't her. |
