He focused on the horse race aspects of the primaries. He kept trying to get Bernie to speak as if he had already lost. The only policy question was to try to get Bernie to say that Israel had colonized Palestine. He tried to get Bernie to criticize Hillary. And when Bernie refused to say that he would be Hillary's VP candidate, Chuck Todd said that he was ducking the question.
Awesome Bernie did not take the bait and kept injecting his issues into questions that showed no interest in the policies that should be the focus of election coverage.
At the end of the program, he showed a "debate" between Sanders and Trump that was just a mash-up of one-liners from their rallies. After the first intercut between the two, I muted the sound because I could tell that it was going to make Bernie look as crazy as Trump.
I've seen Chuck Todd spout the conventional wisdom week after week, but he hit an abysmal low this week.
NBC calling the race over at 5:00pm Pacific time will not stop me from voting for Bernie in CA and I hope everyone shows the media just how irrelevant they are on June 7.
