Related: About this forumI find it curious
To see all these posters who have been signed on for ten years or more - but have unusually low post counts. Like 300-400.
I've been here since nearly the beginning, and I don't remember seeing their names.
Plus, they're all Hillary backers.
I don't normally hold a low post count against someone, but that seems curious.
Have they really been members for 10-12 years and just been laying in the weeds all this time? Every one of them? And just now decided to become active posters?
Maybe I'm just imagining things. Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

(38,613 posts)Comes in handy if their current account is locked, or if they want to give the illusion of greater numbers.

(10,336 posts)I will learn who you are by your actions. If you can't at least post something once in awhile that outlines your deep commitment to Democratic principles, I really can't discern such. One-liner posts and such just doesn't cut it.

(247 posts)I've been a member since 2008 and never ever post. I enjoy reading threads and opinions but reluctant to post mostly because I know how easily I can get sucked in and before I know it hours have past.
I just could not keep my mouth shut this primary season...
Took a quick peek at my profile and was shocked to see my favorite group shows up as Hillary Clinton...this is apparently due to a weekend of replys to pro Hillary drivel before realizing what group I was in.

(172 posts)I don't post much and what I do usually sinks like a stone, so that doesn't inspire me to write much. Although I love to read others posts and occasionally chime in, like now. But, I am all about Berning it up!

(19,926 posts)Makes me believe the theory that this site was set up for operative purposes with many lying in wait.
Saw a poster the other day who had signed up in 2002, had about 650 posts and 400 of them were in the last 90 days.

(696 posts)Posted only recently because this is a very contentious race. I think I only read the "Home page" previous to this race. 2001 was the Bush years so it makes sense that I may have posted a few back then but I stayed mostly with my other message boards rather than this one. Yahoo groups and Yuku groups.

(45,012 posts)I called them by another name and laughed. i got a DU message from the new member, they admitted to me that abandoned their old account and started a new one. I think that toxic posters who are nasty and get a bad reputation must do that every few years or at least every election. Start with a clean slate, that explains a lot of the newbies with old accounts. Drop one use it till it's "dirty" and them put it in storage and switch back to the other. I know of at least 5 nasty posters who are absent this primary but they sure do have newbie old account doppelgangers.

(16,083 posts)but I don't post that often (note my post count is pretty low).
But, I do know the ones you're talking about, the ones who had a couple of posts until the last week when they posted a couple hundred.
