Board of Elections will suspend second clerk as Brooklyn primary debacle continues to unravel

A second Brooklyn Board of Elections official is expected to be suspended Thursday over New York’s primary day snafu that led many voters to be turned away at the polls.

Betty Ann Canizio-Aqil, a BOE chief clerk in Brooklyn, is expected to be suspended after a vote at 3:30 pm by the board’s commissioners, sources told the Daily News.

Canizio-Aqil is the Democratic counterpart to Diane Haslett-Rudiano, the Republican BOE chief clerk.

Haslett-Rudiano had overseen what should have been a routine purge of the voter rolls to clean out people who shouldn’t have been there — like those who had moved or died — but skipped some of the safety steps, and ended up knocking eligible voters off the rolls.

3. Looks like they were in cohoots with one another, don't it?! There is much more to this I'm sure.

Problem is, I'm not sure if there will be anyone with enough integrity left to follow the investigation all the through, top to bottom!

12. All of this is just the test run for the GE.

Expect even more massive Democratic purges before the GE with excuses like "well, the name is similar to a convict, dead person, someone that moved, etc" or "sorry, just a computer glitch" Even if this doesn't help Bernie, it is important to shine light on the problems so as to prevent this, because a lot of Hillary supporters are just blinded by the win.
