Related: About this forumThere seems to be an uptick this week on HRC FBI stories.
An uptick in both conservative news outlets and MSM. Both speculation AND factual reporting. Some leaking is going on, too.
I wonder when this story will command the top spot. Republican strategists will surely be weighing plans for their ultimate benefit.

(4,667 posts)Its probably meant to give people fake hope to prevent people from coming forward with more information and spreading it outside of the captured news media and captured "political" NGOs and blogs.
See my post about / Google the term "state capture"

(50,130 posts)...the story of the FBI legitimately investigating criminal activity by the potential Democratic front runner is a lotta lotta sensational material. The world loves a scandal. The media makes money from scandals, and this one is a doozy comparable in drama to Watergate.

(491 posts)They go quiet for a while and you think this is over, and then bam something comes out that makes you think it's an even bigger story than you thought.

(1,947 posts)an investigation at a time when it would affect an election. But this is rather difficult to avoid, unless she happens to lose the primary.

(41,600 posts)a presidential campaign, I think they have an obligation to the people of this country - the people who pay them their wages, to make a determination BEFORE the convention. Even a leak...yes we have evidence of criminal behaviors or No, we haven't found anything yet. Something.
THEY CANNOT ALLOW. A CRIMINAL TO BE ELECTED PRESIDENT! They are OBLIGATED to stop that from happening. IMCPO.

(1,894 posts)I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see anything happening with the FBI investigation. Maybe something will come of it during the general election, but not while Sanders is running.

(1,898 posts)I am 100% Sanders but can't bring myself to believe that Obama will allow HRC to be indicted. He would view it as a blemish on his record.

(1,377 posts)Because all things in his FP that he has said are major faults of his first term are things she pushed him to do. So it could go either way. Him letting Clinton take fall would then allow him to say "Oh man that evil women gave me really bad advice" And if this email thing is something Obama can not want his legacy to be a Watergate. That would cut his paid speeches down big time if this crap comes out after the fact.
