Is there such a thing?
I was trying to find the total turnout for WA, and so far could only find estimates of 250K. Is there real data out there?

(14,255 posts)states have caucuses and other states have primaries.
The Hillary supporters who are throwing around those "popular votes" numbers are conveniently not mentioning that.

(812 posts)How do they talk about "popular vote" (same in 08), if caucus states don't publish popular vote numbers?
Here in WA, for ex, we have precinct delegates. B got something like 19k, and H got about 7k. But each of those delegates could represent the votes of anywhere from a single to several dozen caucus goers. Whether one person or one thousand decide to show up, the number of state delegates up for grabs does not change.
And I didn't think the actual numbers of caucus goers and how they voted was published (or even tallied, for that matter) because it's not relevant to the caucus.
That's why I wondered if someone was somehow getting this info.
So it sounds like if people bring up "popular vote" during primaries at all, we should ask wtf do they think they are talking about!

(14,255 posts)voted. Theoretically, of course. But in caucuses, there is no one person one vote.
We should start pointing out their bullshit - I don't know what is worse, that they are deliberately spouting that tripe, or if they have been given the information to spout and don't understand why it is pointless twaddle.
