no one "has to" leave du no matter who you vote for...xpost from gdp

i am venturing into gdp only to post this, because i am seeing an alarming number of comments suggesting that people who do not vote for the dem nom have to leave du.

bullshit. your vote is your own, and if you don't go blasting it all over du, no one will know who you voted for.

the tos clearly state that you cannot come on here after the convention and trash the nominee or advocate for another candidate. you are free to post in other forums and discuss other topics. hell, you can discuss the presidential race as long as you dont trash the nom or advocate for another candidate over the dem.

this is clearly an attempt by some hillary supporters who prematurely feel that the primaries are over to drive bernie supportes off the site.

dont fall for it.

She doesn't even have enough with super delegates yet, who don't vote until the convention. So we should all feel free to carry on as usual.

This isn't my life. I lived all the way up to 2011 barely aware of this place. I read DU for I dunno how long before I even signed up. I do remember reading an article or two a day for a while though. Jackpineradicals.org lets me swear like a mofo so that's a good environment for me. I censor cuss words all the freaking time here. If I wrote how I think most of my posts would be bleepity bleep bleep.

In other news, I have had only one person on ignore, ever, and it is a year ago since I did that.
So today, I opened up the thread wherein someone very eloquently said good-bye, and decided to block/ignore anyone who gave a nasty shitty snotty reply. I now have 62 posters on ignore, and GD-P is lovely!

No need to purge when they have all their favourite thread disruptors back on the job . You will be labelled and accused , and in time people will just walk away , leaving them to their echo chamber . So no need to purge , we will leave ourselves .

It's just that you have to be VERY careful and NEVER say you're not going to vote for their bullshit Wall Street candidate. If you're not going to vote for HRH, keep it to yourself or say something like, "I plan on voting for the candidate who best represents my political and social viewpoints." And, as the OP states, never shall be heard a discouraging word about a "Democratic" candidate. But there WILL be progressives who will win some of the primaries and we CAN talk about and promote them.

I won't hang around here. I won't be able to stomach all of the cheering for a pro corporatist, pro war, etc., etc. candidate. I may go elsewhere though - jpr. Are others from this group over there??

lots of du ers already there. i think some of us still split our time, but if bernie is not the nom, there is no reason to stay and hear all the genuflecting that will go on here.

what I'm thinking. It was posted as they saw too many long time
DUers leaving. I'm not long time (obviously) and probably won't stay the
course. I probably won't announce either.
