Because it cuts out the middle man, the health insurance industry. Probably why Obama didn't even try for it either.

he campaigned on the public option

we had just come off losing like 8 million jobs so it probably was not the right time to end the healthcare ins jobs

bernie won't get us singlepayer right away either(probably)

but if enough of us demand single payer maybe this time we get a truly affordable public option

The only thing that surprises me is that she still has any support from the voters. I wish people would just open their damn eyes.
