"Let's try something a bit wild"
We are doing something profoundly different in our campaign, Melissa. As of midnight last night, we have raised more than $36,105,613 from 1,209,108 individual contributions so far in February. It's a very impressive number, and one that we should all be proud of.
But we are still up against the billionaire class and their super PACs who are doing everything they can to stop our movement. So in the spirit of this campaign, we want to reach for an even bigger goal – one that will absolutely shock the political establishment.
We're setting a goal of raising $40 million this month before tonight's midnight FEC fundraising deadline. It's a goal that I don't know if we can make, but I think it's very important that we try.
