Sanders campaign can't meet demand for lawn signs

The Bernie Sanders campaign is struggling to keep up with the demand for lawn signs in Massachusetts, according to State Director Paul Feeney.

Feeney, who has experience working on local campaigns, said he "has never seen anything like it" while working in politics. New signs are currently on back order from print shops and shipments carrying extra signs from New Hampshire are expected this week.

"We weren't sure we would have the volunteer resources at first," Feeney said. "Now we are meeting every metric, every goal. We have more and more volunteers walking through the door every day."

The Sanders campaign for the Democratic nomination currently has five Massachusetts offices including Charlestown, Worcester, Springfield, Lawrence and an office in New Bedford which just opened on Feb. 13.

We live on the corner of a main street, so I ordered two, one for the front yard and one for the side. Hope they get here soon; the caucus is March 5.

I'm amazed though by the amount of supporters who have asked where did I get my Bernie teeshirt, signs etc. I tell them Bernie's website!

Total cost under $15 W/shipping. Works well but (ahem) some assembly required. Demand is heavy and the sign you receive may vary-mine came with 2 short strings of white lights with on-off-flash capability. Each string required 3 AA batteries that were not included. I think it was well worth it and it gets plenty of interest.

Plug in (110v) units are about $2 cheaper.

We had two Bernie signs in the front yard. They were stolen. Other signs in the neighborhood, including a least one Hillary sign, were also stolen. Incident was reported to police. One replacement sign has been put up much closer to the house and is being carefully watched.

At 1:50 you see some girls stealing their garden gnomes. I was watching the feed that night! The chat box went NUTS! Hundreds of people watching and no one could do anything. It was epic!
