Anybody hear what I heard???
I've not read every current thread on DU (I confess, I can't since I don't have THAT kind of idle time!), but I heard something from HRC in her "victory" speech last night that made me roll it back for an instant replay. She said at one point that she was going to win so she could bring about the reality of "universal health care!". Tell me if I'm wrong, but that seems to sound WAY different than "well fix Obamacare and make it better" - or am I dreaming? Wouldn't Medicare for all be the same thing as Universal Health Care???
Like I said: tell me if I just read it wrong. Seems to me she's shifted to Bernie's aims after being battered with the "No You Can't!" taunts. If they ARE the same thing, gonna be interesting to see how that topic squares when their in the next debate.

be surprised. More evolution I am sure.

6. Dont't remember last night, but MSNBC hhas been playing clips of her interview with Chris M.
She definately said universal health care when she was talking about things she & Bernie agree on. (I think thats where I heard her say that.) Chris is supposed to play the entire interview on his show tonight, so we'll see. If it wasnt there that I saw her say that then I don't know where, but I DID hear her say those words.

10. She's going to try to shift because as people become familiar with Bernie
they're jumping ship to his boat
Their talking points will be carefully constructed to mislead Democrats while avoiding going too far to the left for the general election. She will say anything and do anything to get elected. Bernie won't. Whether he'll be able to do what he hopes to remains to be seen but he means what he says. He's not going to deceive people like Hillary. |

Clearly, the Camp Weathervane dictionary will be seeing a lot of usage.

that triggered her Bosnia sniper lie.
Because it will beg the question "what progressive things legislatively have you got done?" And most people come up with light weight stuff or are stumped. |

15. Her entire speech was a clone of Bernie's main points.
I saw quite a bit of it on TYT. As much as they aired.
Campaign finance, banking, universal health care, climate change, renewable energy, one right after another. After Bernie doing so well in spite of media blackouts and outright lies has convinced her which way the wind is currently blowing. She's on board. I could not get a copy of her speech and the TYT commentary. Here is a clip of a report from right before the Iowa caucus. And one more for dessert |

Her absolute nerve is just so stunning. Could she be suffering dementia? Really. 3 days ago it was "Never ever" on universal healthcare and today she will bring about the reality of same? This is OMF big time.

After piously lecturing Iowans about "Medicare for all" being a naive fantasy that would never happen she casually dropped that in her speech without explanation.

Can you draw a full circle? That would about represent the various statements Hillary has made about Medicare for All. |

I don't have the talent to post as you did or I'd have done so in my OP. "Universal Health Care Coverage" The word "coverage" CAN suggest she's talking about insurance, but it's not an absolute certainty. Anybody that wants to argue one way or the other has to conclude she's either very precise or very sloppy with her words.
