In the mean time, there is plenty a President can do that doesn't need congress, and the Bully Pulpit is incredibly powerful when you have a President who is willing to make the case.

No one thinks he'll wave a magic wand and Republican obstructionism disappears. Electing Bernie is important because it is our best first step in taking back power from the monied interests.

Killer Mike is correct. Barring any districting shenanigans... The voters will deliver.

3. Electing Bernie really is just the first step.

The next step is to change the narrative and get the nation behind the populous economic system it once thrived on (and destroy the trickle down narrative that only favors the rich). If we can do that we can retake the state legislatures by 2020. Retaking the state legislatures allows us to undo gerrymandering for the next decade and retake the house. That's the long game we're playing.


We've got 4 years to set this all in motion. The advantage we have is 2020 is the next presidential election year, which means Bernie can help turn people out for the critical election that will decide the states. high turnout elections favor us and I believe Bernie can deliver a massive turnout.
