67 days old from seed today and almost ready...
The trichomes are mostly cloudy. I'd estimate 5 more days or so until harvest time!
I plan on making Full Extract Cannabis Oil (FECO) and infused coconut oil among other things. Details can be found here in one of my grow journals: http://www.420magazine.com/forums/journals-progress/245933-fast-vast-northern-lights-autos.html -- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

16. I've been growing a northern lights and white widow strain
for several years, but I don't have nearly the professional setup you do, just a combination of shop lights and 120W grow lights. The buds are fairly small but do the trick.
Now that we're legal here, I'm doing a few outside during vegetative stage since we have so much daylight this time of year. I'll have to bring them in when I want them to flower, but it's kind of fun to use natural light. Yours are beauties. |

This is my first grow in decades. I think rain water helps. I pH adjust all my feeding and watering to 6.5.

8. Tell me what I'm looking at?
OK, a long time ago I sporadically grew some dirt weed, but it never looked like that. Esthetically, that's a thing of beauty even if it does look like gen-mod cross between a Christmas decoration and some sort of alien spawn.
What is all the white stuff and the frilly pink fringy things? |

13. Oh my! Those stemmy old plants of mine have gone all scientific now.
Thanks for info; I had no idea it was so high tech compared to the "olden days' of my youth. Now that I'm older, I've thought about growing one, more for the pain relief than fun, but it sounds way too complicated for someone who can't even get the dang tomatoes to set. Is it even legal to grow in California?

I would get an inline one and run it in the exhaust duct as ozone isn't real good for you. |

Across the border in Oregon(I have a card) best thing we got in this damp climate is Afghanie Kush or Blue Dream. From clone to harvest in about 90 days. Good job Shred.

27. They can be kept as "mothers", and cuttings taken every few weeks. Those are placed in a
5 gallon bucket set up to hang their stems into a water spray and they will root in about a week. Those are planted in dirt or placed in a hydro pot, and between 10 days and 2 months later you put them in flower and grow them for 8 week or so.
That is called "cloning", and can reproduce exact copies for years. |

31. Here's what happened...
As I'm harvesting and on closer inspection apparently one of my plants "hermied" on me meaning hermaphrodite. It pollinated and I have seeds although heavier in one plant more than the other 3.
I'll be more diligent next time. The buds are still big, sticky, and dank. My outdoor plant was unaffected and is seedless. I ended up for five plants: 6.6 ounces of manicured bud. 4.9 ounces of unmanicured bud (I will use for making oils). I'm making infused coconut oil right now I my new Magical Butter Machine 2e... Here's what I am doing. Last night...decarbed about 36 grams of unmanicured stinky bud in oven at 240 for 1 hour. Mixed it with a little over 2 cups coconut oil and a heaping tablespoon of sunflower lecithin. Ran the whole mix in the MB2e for 1 hr at 190 and 1 hr at 160. Poured it all into a container and froze it overnight. This morning I'm now running 2 hrs at 160. Should be ready to strain soon. My first time ![]() |

38. My first inhale
Just vaped a bud of my grow for the first time. Others have inhaled my grow way before me...lol.
Northern Lights (outdoors). Mellow and relaxing. That's the effect I was aiming for when deciding to grow the Indica dominate hybrids as I did. Indica typically has a relaxing effect rather than an energetic head high. So far a success! ![]() Funny, I've eaten this grow a lot with the coconut and cocoa butter I've infused and made into edibles but this was my first inhale. |
