Kamala Harris Says Marijuana “Gives A Lot Of People Joy” As She Reiterated Her Support For Legalization

Harris, who recently announced her White House bid, told the hosts of “The Breakfast Club” she had smoked weed in college.

Sen. Kamala Harris revealed Monday she had smoked a joint “a long time ago” while discussing her support for legalization of marijuana.

Asked on the New York City radio show “The Breakfast Club” if rumors that she didn’t support legalization were real, Harris laughed. “That’s not true,” Harris told radio host, Charlemagne Tha God. “Half my family is from Jamaica, are you kidding me?”

“I think it gives a lot of people joy,” the California Democrat later added. “We need more joy in the world.”

2. If there was ever an issue that could get young voters to the polls, this might be it.

3. She was quite the Drug Warrior in the past

I'm glad she's seen the light, but I would hope she would also acknowledge her own role in failed policy. Perhaps she has and I haven't seen it.

4. She was an Attorney General in San Francisco and of the State of California

She has had to follow law as past officer of the court....

People evolve and laws and attitudes have evolved.

I not only believe she has evolved on this issue as a matter of law and I laughed hard at her comment about her family members being from Jamaica....

10. And the former governor of New Jersey and,

still, drug warrior prohibitionist Chris Christie is not happy with Kamala Harris. Not at all! STFU and go sell your damn book!! 🥴🤪😈

And all the other candidates.

9. Yep, it sure would bring me joy

if I only knew where to get it. While we do have medical cannabis getting the card, plus the recommendation, is cost prohibitive. Applying for a card in Maryland is ticky-tack, too. But that’s another story for another day. 😳😢
