Is it just me or did anyone else get the impression that Kurt Russell was channeling

1. Haven't seen it yet. Did you like it?

I'm thinking of renting it from Redbox.

3. Okay. I watched it.

I didn't get that much of a John Wayne vibe from Kurt Russell. I wasn't really looking for it, because I'd forgotten you mentioned it.

As for the movie. I was pretty disappointed. Since Tarantino went to the trouble of shooting in Panavision, I expected him to make better use of it. It was so set bound it could have been a stage play. The first 40 minutes was in the coach and the other TWO HOURS was in Minnie's. Yes, there was the occasional exterior shot.

This was not QT's best. I like most of his movies. I love Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. Kill Bill was good, but I think it would have been better as one tight film instead of split into Vol 1 and 2.

5. One thing Jackie Brown has going for it

Is that it's adapted from Elmore Leonard's "Rum Punch".
