The name's Leo, born and reared in East Kilbride, Scotland. I came to America in 1987 as a university student, determined to use my knowledge, return home and help LIBERATE MY PEOPLE FROM THE ENGLISH OPPRESSORS! Then, while at Michigan State, I met an American girl, and you already know the rest. I became a citizen just in time to vote for John Kerry, and have been a Democrat even before I could exercise the franchise!
This is my first night on Democratic Underground, but I couldn't WAIT to jump into the pool, as this next presidential election is going to be a donnybrook!!! (For those of you who've never been to Scotland, a "donnybrook" is an occasion where Scottish men gather together, exchange recipes for haggis, play chess, and support each other emotionally as we tearfully relate to each other how our parents never truly loved us.)
