Just had an email claiming that my McAffee subscription had expired and click to renew

Pretty obviously a scam as I've never used that software and never liked it from what I read about the original McAffee guy.

Anyone confirm that it is just another scam?

Did not click on the email of course.

Likewise the Paypal invoices (these are good spoofs--however if your name is not inserted, they are fake).

(eg Kohl's, Southwest airline on and on). The sender is a long string of symbols and it changes of every email. I don't open them and mark them as 'phishing' but the email provider seems to have a hard time getting them in its sights.

they are almost like the email version of the covid virus. It literally changes with every iteration.

Just thought I would mention it in case others get hit by them. Been going on for @ 2 months now with about ten to tweety a day

haven't seen one since summer. Never opened them just marked them 'phishing' and moved on.

Try to ignore them. I would tell you to have those emails blocked but you would probably have to open the email in order to block more of them.

I also have been getting an email saying that my Amazon account is suspended and i should hit they link they provide to log in and to re open my account. Of course there is no info about amazon at the bottom of The email and I just delete and put in spam.

later I got an email saying I only had to pay 2.xx by debit card to release my package. It was Christmas so I didn't have a tally of all the packages I bought. Someone then used my debit card numbers to buy stuff at a men's store. I caught it quick as my bank account informed me there was a big withdrawal. Pain in the ass but I use my credit card now more than my debit card.
