Thanks. Found a link! A̶m̶e̶r̶i̶c̶a̶ https://saijogeorge.com/strikethrough-text-generator/

1. Not sure
But in html it's text here
Well, that didn't work! I was using < s > , then < / s > without the spaces between characters. So: < s > text here < / s > |

2. Again I think it depends on your operating system.
I know on my iPad I use I can't do it whilst at the DU. If you google "strike thru text" there are web sites that will let you strike thru a word and they you can copy/paste it into your text or doc.
Sometimes your native text file or note software will let you do it. Then copy/paste it into the doc. H̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶e̶l̶p̶s̶ m |

5. I tried the usual and they don't work here
In HTML 4, you use the [strike]foo[/strike] tags
but in HTML5, the tags [del]foo[/del] [ins]bar[/ins] are to be used However, none of those work here in DU land. |
