1. The best thing you could do is unsubscribe.

2. If you want to be on

Report yourself as hacked or as an account pretending to be someone else. They will ask who, you or someone else? You will, of course, reply “you.” Please do it even if you don’t intend to do anymore. These are hackers or bots. They are rampant since these SCOTUS hearings. 8 people during the last hearing were spewing all kinds of nonsense. Before responding to someone who sounds crazy, I always look at their profiles to see if it’s even worth it. All came back as having never used twitter, yet there I was reading tweets from their accounts that were violent or just insane. I did report them as hackers. They used someone’s totally innocent, inactive account to commit hate crimes. It’s not right for whoever that account really belongs to (in this case-you!)

6. Good luck.

social media in general is awful. I've never had facebook and dropped Twitter after about a year. It doesn't work well for me, at least, because it just exponentially increased my hatred for all people. Reading news here on DU is depressing enough. Makes me feel there is no hope for humanity. Bleh.

in the world than bad. my proof? we haven't all killed each other. we will get through this. i promise.

8. It happens often

Once you do it initially you'll be fine but occasionally your account can be locked for suspicious behavior but you can do text code and you're fine.
