Did I miss something?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by muriel_volestrangler (a host of the Community Help forum).

Hey everyone!! My daughter is having a FB “discussion” about guns. The rw person she’s conversing (you know, with the lib insults and liberal media etc) with is denigrating her for not knowing that the “new gun bill” requires a mental heath evaluation. Soooo- did I miss it? Haven’t heard anything about this. Have you? Thanks!!

1. You might also want to post this in one of the DU groups

like Gun Control Reform Activism. At the top of any DU page, look for the tab Forums & Groups.

And welcome to DU!

2. Trump Signs Bill Revoking Obama-Era Gun Checks

for People With Mental Illnesses.
Social Security was supposed to identify those receiving benefits for
mental illness or deemed not competent to manage their affairs.

He did this in February.

3. Locking - this forum is meant for people asking questions on how to use DU

rather than questions about current events. You're far more likely to get a reply if you repost this in General Discussion.

The wording in "About this Forum" might be a little ambiguous, but if you look at the other posts here, you'll get the idea. I may suggest to the admin that they make the wording clearer.
