I admit that when one of the paragraphs is just one sentence long, it's tempting to push the limits. My hand has likely deserved a slap, a time or two. At least I always remember the link!!

3. I know... It doesn't seem reasonable to count a single sentence as a full paragraph--even if it is

offset like any other paragraph...

4. Also remember: the paragraphs don't have to be consecutive

You can pick out the four most helpful paragraphs. I've seen so many posts that quote the first four when the meat of the article is further down.

6. One sentence paragraphs have more to do with online formatting for speed and eye-ease, etc. ...

compared to print newspapers or essay writing. It's more of a visual presentation for easier scanning.
