Is it okay to post job opportunities here?

I periodically have job openings at my company (VP, HR - Apparel company in Manhattan), some with very specific technical needs and some with more general skill requirements. Is it acceptable to let people know and invite their applications?

Worse than I've ever seen. You'd do better PMing a mod. I think you can find them listed in "about this group" or something similar.

Du no longer has mods. I'm guessing that the admins are a bit over worked judging by ATA.
I'm a main forum host which includes this forum.

The SOP for Community Help is: "Get help from your fellow DU members and share tips about DU, in a positive, supportive environment."

My opinion is there couldn't be anything much more helpful than a job for someone who needs one. Should there be an alert on any post for a job opening from you or anyone here, I would argue strenuously that the posting be left alone and the alert not result in a lock.

10. I'm not sure that would break any TOS that I've read.

I would give out the info in PM mode though. Posting that a job is available should not be a problem.

I did it once during the recession. Just gave out the area code and a brief description of the job.

Actually got someone from DU the job. It really helped him out at the time.
