I've lived the past five or so years without cable, so my free Saturday mornings are filled with whatever I'm doing at home... and watching/listening to Magnum PI in the background on a sub-station I get over the air (it's either that, or some really trippy cartoons and cooking shows).

And yeah, I've caught myself wondering if the (lack of) length of his shorts were really a style in the 80's drowned out by neons, pastels and Members Only jackets, or if the producers simply thought, "this guy's a piece of cheesecake... let's show as much as we can".
